Listen to Tommy Richman's EP "The Rush"
The Washington DC Native released a really interpersonal body of work that finds itself switching between genre's
They say birds of a feather flock together and in this case are signed to one another, At first listen Washington DC native Tommy Richardson sounds like a mix of Brent Faiyaz and Sampha, who already have entirely different sounds. So imagine what it sounds like when someone has the best parts of both singers. Richman has no obvious connections to Sampha but he is signed to Brent Faiyaz. And under Brent's Label Richman released his EP The Rush late last year. The singer has delivered to his fans a body of work that encompasses elements of disco, R&B, sound and alternative.
Richman opens The Rush with “Messy”, my personal favorite track centers around everyone’s favorite trope, "friends turned into something more and that going to shit!" The track opens up with “ line “ In all the EP is five songs long spanning over a total if 12 minutes, including his single “Last Night” which is sitting at about half a million streams on Spotify
The Rush was the only official thing we received from Tommy Richman last year. With the beginning of 2024 here we can be hopeful that the Brent Faiyaz signee is preparing a follow up!
