1UPTEE Wants You To Be Accountable For Your Actions.

The Detroit rapper is back with new music in the form of Accountability pt.2. As the name suggests the song is a follow up to his 2022 single "Accountability", which was also featured on his 2023 full length project "Upper" which was released in 2023. Accountability pt one saw the Detroit rapper sit down and take a look in the mirror. The rapper goes on and does some self reflection on the choices that he makes, although that concept isn't new, the way 1UPTEE executes the song is a newer concept. 

Pt. 2 follows the same ethos however instead of the mirror being pointed in his direction, he holds it up to the world. No one is spared in the song, he mentions how opposing groups of people end up pointing the finger at each other rather than themselves. "We got everybody blaming everybody but theyself/Tell somebody what they doing wrong and they get all defensive/Instead of tryna listen they gonna try and argue with you/You stuck in your ways and you don't wanna really hear it/But the hardest place for motherfuckers to look is in the mirror, blame you"

Over the last couple of years, Detroit has become this Mecca of geographical rap if you're listening to a song that has been made by a Detroit artist, there is no doubt that the song is from Detroit. It's amazing to see that this artist is using his platform in a way that is uplifting without losing any of the charisma that the casual hip hop lover listens for. Watch the video for Accountability pt. 2 below and stream his latest project Upper.
