Airplanes James reminds us why he has a hard time finding love with the release of his latest EP, Heartbreak Sold Separately.
Heartbreak is one hell of a drug.. continuing with his theme of love gone wrong East Los Angeles rapper, Airplane James has released his latest EP Heartbreak Sold Separately. We aren’t going to mention that the tape comes to us just one day after Valentine’s Day, talk about understanding your target audience. James is fresh off releasing the video for his song “Big Dawg Status” featuring Guapdad, who is also in the video. The song was a cut from his latest mixtape Apology Accepted.
Heartbreak Sold Separately is only 4 tracks long (total 9 minutes) and features long time collaborators, Jansport J, Kay Franklin and Bakersfield’s very own Ness Julius. Although the title incorporates the theme of heartbreak the tape is an ode to love songs in a way. On the opening track “After The Party” James raps, “Yelling at the phone now you got these hoes in our biz/That's your problem/You worried/bout everything else/You go & tell me about myself/That's below the belt/You know I can't handle that You know that I'm sensitive/If I send a paragraph/You know that I meant the shit”. It’s truly some heartbreaking shit.
But Airplane isn’t a stranger to heartbreak, at least not in his music. James has recently wrapped up his trilogy of “Hurt” series. 2024 has just started but James has already hit the ground running, along with his music he has released new shirts from his brand, LA Girls and his upcoming appearance in KILJOY magazine No. 7.
